Windows File Explorer is a useful file manager for Windows similar to Windows Explorer, but it includes many additional options such as image preview and a single or double file view, the latter being very useful when copying many files from one folder to another. Moreover, the program supports drag and drop, thumbnail views of images and Microsoft's Windows Explorer context menu, meaning that if you install a program that adds icons to the context menu, they also will be added to the Windows File Explorer menu. The built-in image viewer, which really saves a lot of time when browsing through image directories, supports bmp, jpeg, png, gif, tiff, pcx, pbm, pgm, ppm, tga, dib, rle, wmf, emf file formats, icons and cursors. ZIP Archives are handled like subdirectories and unzipping is only supported on Win ME, XP or later. In addition to this, the program also offers a filter field to filter certain file extensions, which can be enabled or disabled. It also supports different languages (including English).
